If you want to truly merge all the projects together into a single file, uncheck the "link to project" option in the lower right of the Insert Project window. It is also best to keep all the files inĪ single directory, preferably on a local drive since operating a linked structure over a network adds potential network instability to the mix. Basic rules are to never move, rename, or copy any of the files in a linked structure. Means that each subproject will retain it own formats, however when viewed at master level, formatting will be that of the master.Īnd I also feel obligated to warn you of potential problems when working with a linked structure. However, the individual projects will NOT be merged into the master, rather the master will contain pointers to each individual subproject. What you will be creating is a dynamic master, a linked structure. Just to add a bit more to Julie's answer.
